Veterinarian Dr Ernie Ward decided to experience what it would be like for a dog left in a car on a hot day. He opened all the windows an inch or two and shut himself in a Honda for 30 minutes.
Dr Ernie is still alive at the end of the 30 minutes but, with its coat and inability to sweat, a dog might not be. Please watch the video and think twice about leaving your mutt in your motor

Once the temps get above pants weather, the dogs don't sit in the car by themselves with the car off. Pants weather being about 50 fahrenheit and below for me. Mileage may vary, and some dogs like the temps a bit higher. Still...
People are fucking stupid.
